White Wedding?
So it appears that the new trend in 2008 weddings are anything but traditional. As I searched the Internet, I came across many sites that were touting, White is out, and Black is in. Black? You got it, and not just black, brides are turning to red too.
FormalDress4U
Gone are the days were the bride wore a traditional white dress. Many up and coming gals are looking for a dress that better shows their personality. While they are still classy, they are not your moms dress.

There are some great posts on another wedding blog, Parisian Party, which discusses upcoming trends in Paris. They seem to really be embracing the Black Wedding Dress!
So what are your thoughts? Traditional Bride or Up and coming Fashionista? Let us know!

The Bridal Consultant Workshop
We attended a fantastic workshop in Ventura, California given by Jean Picard who is a Master Bridal Consultant, by the Association of Bridal Consultants. The workshop was very informative for us newbies! It taught us all the basic information on how to help set our business, and important measures to take. Jean was very helpful and she came with a lot of great stories and ideas.
Wish us luck, behind this idea of a new business comes A LOT OF WORK!! Bring it on!!! We are so ready!

Ease Some Stress
I found this fun site for random quizzes from Beth (My Chic Things) and Elaine (Girly Up The Web) ~ Thanks Divas! Just a little fun mid week to ease some of our stress.
Even though I am already married, I thought this went along with the blogs premise...So have fun, and let me know what your Ideal Proposal is!

Reality Party Planning
So since I was home for a week during the holidays, I realized there is a whole world of TV out there and 90% of it is reality TV. Well I stumbled upon two programs, one on the Style channel the Big Party Plan Off and one on the Lifetime channel Top this Party: Las Vegas.
The Big Party Plan Off poses two party planners to come up with a party theme and present it to the party givers and guest of honor. Then they choose which one they prefer and the losing planner has to help the winner with the party. It was very entertaining and they have some cute ideas.
Top This Party: Las Vegas was a little over the top for me. Seeing that the budget for the party that the planner, Breakfast is his name, was half a million dollars!!! I don’t think I could even fathom where to start with a budget like that! The party giver gave him $100K to get started! Amazing!
So I was wondering if anyone has seen theses programs and what there take is on them! Let us know!

2008...What are your goals?
NOT THIS YEAR!!! I decided to make a resolution that I could actually strive for and work towards without feeling like a broken record. So, my 2008 New Years Resolution is to become successful in my own venture...KDC Events. I am not saying I want it to be uber successful this year, but my goal is to successfully plan and execute at least one major event.
