Cardboard Tube Cupid (Kaboose.com)
1) Use an empty toilet paper or paper towel roll and paint a flesh tone color
2) Glue or tape cotton balls to the top as hair
3) Cut a 1 inch wide piece of white paper to wrap around as his outfit
6) Add a set of goggle eyes
7) Paint on a smile
8) Paint flesh colored circles on to a piece of paper, cut out and attach to the bow
Here is the photo from the Kaboose Site
Homemade Chocolate Candy Box(Disney Family Fun Site):
1) Get a photo of each kid in the class
2) Make a heart shape box out of poster board
3) Attach cupcake papers to the bottom with double sided tape
4) Cut the photos of the kids in to circles so they fit into the bottom of the cupcake papers
5) Have each child fill their cup with the candy of their choice
6) Deliver to your teacher and let her enjoy the candy with a special SURPRISE at the bottom of each one...the kids! She can save it and hang in the classroom.
Party Food
1) Fruit kabobs: made from Strawberries, blueberries and pineapple. Place in a vase fruit side up for a beautiful, edible decoration
2) Love Potion: made from 7-up and strawberry sherbet. Empty a liter of 7-up( or other clear soda) in to a punch bowl. Then dollop the strawberry sherbet into the soda. Mix gently for a pink, frothy, delicious drink. (tip: freeze some of the soda in ice cube trays the night before to help keep cool with out watering down)
3)Red Jello Hearts: All you need is a box of Strawberry Jello and a hear shaped cookie cutter
We hope you have making these crafts with your kiddos. Check back soon for our Adult Valentine's Day idea post!
