We Did it! Our first event. Small on scale, but extravagant in design! We had so much fun. The host, Elana (Good Girl Gone Shopping) was great, she let us do anything we wanted. I think it turned out FABULOUS! Here are some pictures for the event.

Our Debut Event

We have been officially booked to produce the unveiling of Good Girl Gone Shopping. Elana hired us to help transform her quaint condo into a chic botique.

We could not be more excited as this is right up our alley. We were given total creative control. Elana is going to be unveilig her Personal shopping business and we are there to help her!

Wish us luck as we are undertaking this extravegent event on Saturday February 23. Thanks Elana for entrusting us with this imporant milestone in your life.

The Bridal Consultant Workshop

We attended a fantastic workshop in Ventura, California given by Jean Picard who is a Master Bridal Consultant, by the Association of Bridal Consultants. The workshop was very informative for us newbies! It taught us all the basic information on how to help set our business, and important measures to take. Jean was very helpful and she came with a lot of great stories and ideas.

Katie and I left the workshop with more to do and think about than when we went in. We are so excited and on fire to embrace this new adventure. We know we have our work cut out for us, but with Jeans guidance, I think we have it under control!

Wish us luck, behind this idea of a new business comes A LOT OF WORK!! Bring it on!!! We are so ready!

2008...What are your goals?

So it is officially 2008...HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With the beginning of the new year comes the promise of new resolutions. So this year I have vowed to NOT make the standard resolution of "I would like to lose weight" or "I vow to work out more".

NOT THIS YEAR!!! I decided to make a resolution that I could actually strive for and work towards without feeling like a broken record. So, my 2008 New Years Resolution is to become successful in my own venture...KDC Events. I am not saying I want it to be uber successful this year, but my goal is to successfully plan and execute at least one major event.

So, now that I have committed it to writing, I better get cracking on finding a client! If you know of anyone seeking an event planner, Hit us up!

Research...Research

So we are now members of this great social network called Divapreneur, it is filled with women, who too, are in business for themselves. We have already received so much great advice!!! Our first step is to become certified by the Association of Bridal Consultants, and gain more education for event planning.
